Bell Tower and Community Space Appeal

We are pleased to confirm we have now raised the £15k for the platform and are currently awaiting confirmation of the bells and building works timeframes.

Following on-going discussions the order for the new bells has been switched to a company in The Netherlands (Home – Royal Eijsbouts Bell Foundry) because the Italian foundry that was originally being used has continually failed to meet the deadlines. This change has no impact on the project moving forward because the new foundry are able to produce them with a 4 week lead time and as we have been still needing to raise funds we are now able to organise the bells, platform and servery works simultaneously. Our plan is that this work will be done by the end of October in time for the Patronal Festival on Sunday 1st November.
June 2026
A new fundraising initiative has been launched and is titled “The All Saints’ Top 30”. As many of you will know we have been fundraising for some time now and with the fantastic help of the Friends of All Saints’ Dogmersfield (FOASD) almost £170k has been raised for the Bells and Community Space Project so far out of a projected cost of £217k.
This has been through a mixture of donations and grants that we have been successful with in a very challenging market!
The funding for the bells is in place and the work to install the new and refurbished bells should at last be seen and heard over the next few months which is very exciting.
We have now though got to the key part of the project where we need to raise the next £15k for the bell tower platform, this links safely the bell ringing above with the kitchenette/servery facility beneath it and that is going to be so vital for our future mission of welcoming more people to All Saints’.
This part of the project is very much for everyone, it’s fair to say some people are perhaps keener on bells and some on what the community space offers. So to that end we have are hoping for 30 people (individuals, couples, family or to perhaps remember a loved one) to contribute £500 each and to enable us to get this platform installed and to be the bridge to join up both the elements.
I can share an update that so far we now have raised £10,500 of the £15,000 target so just £4,500 to go on this element of the project, a big thank-you to all those who have donated so far!
The PCC approved this initiative so it’s down to us to fund this key part. There is the black board at the back of church which shows how we are doing. We will in due course have a more permanent reminder to the very kind donors. I will be in touch with the donors in due course, the other good news is that we are able to reclaim gift aid on these donations so each one will become £625 and further help the next stage of the project.

We have recently launched a bell tower and community space appeal to increase the number of bells from three to six, to repair and strengthen the tower and to provide communal facilities in a kitchenette inside the church. This will also involve changing the pew structure for our choir and re-siting the font to a new location at the entrance to the church.
After successfully obtaining a faculty for the project the work has begun. We have been generously given the funds for the three new bells and are now working on raising further funds and grants.
This is being coordinated through donations and grants by the “The Friends of All Saints Dogmersfield” and information is on the attached links.
